GREENSHIRTS
This young adult volunteer team show witness to their Catholic faith by serving their younger brothers & sisters in Christ during the Ignite NW conference.
Young Adults ages 18-21 are welcome to apply to be "Greenshirt" Volunteers. Greenshirts play an essential role in executing the logistics of the conference and providing a positive example to the high school students. Greenshirts get the benefit of getting in on the amazing speakers, camaraderie, and leadership training.
WHO IS A GREENSHIRT?
Young adult men and women who have finished high school and are between the ages of 18-21. They are:

Catholics who are actively practicing their faith and are committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, especially in the Holy Eucharist

Willing to agree to our Greenshirt and Volunteer Staff Agreement (agreed to during online registration)

Willing to follow all the rules of the volunteer team and do the tasks assigned to them by the Conference Coordinator

Able and willing to attend the entire conference as well as preparation on the day prior to the conference.
Like all Ignite Your Torch volunteers, Green Shirts must be in compliance with the Child Protection Policies of their home diocese. RESPONSIBILITIES

Greenshirts help with the general work of the conference such as organizing the activities, helping youth participants with directions to their activities, contributing to the enthusiastic and prayerful atmosphere, and doing other tasks that contribute to the safety and smooth running of the conference.
CAN I ATTEND CONFERENCE EVENTS?

The Conference Coordinator will schedule tasks so that volunteers can participate in all of the Masses and holy hours and most of the assemblies, workshops and other activities. Volunteers, however, must be willing to leave a conference activity if unscheduled or emergency help is needed.
WHAT IS THE COST?
The Greenshirt registration fee is the same as other participants but Greenshirts get a discount code for a $100 scholarship after they apply (see below) and are accepted. After their application is accepted, Greenshirts will register online by May 31st, using the discount code and paying the $50 deposit.

After being accepted (you'll receive an email), register for the conference online using the registration code given to you, selecting “Greenshirt” on the form.

While registering, use the discount code given in your confirmation email to receive $100 off the conference fee.
Please note: Greenshirts are not trained or qualified to be substitute chaperones.
